I have been toying with the idea of blogging for quite some time now. Not because I want to join in the masses of those trying to get rich of the internet, and not even because I think that anyone is going to read it. But because I feel more acutely now than before, the effect of having friends so far away. For a majority of my friends, inviting them to dinner involves a long plane trip, or a hours long car drive. And while distance is good for learning who your real friends are, it certainly doesn't help in making the ones that survive the distance, grow. And if creating this blog could help us better stay in touch, to help us better understand each other, then I would say it is a venture well worth it. So I will post, and perhaps I will also have guest posters, who will add their wisecracks and wit, and perhaps together we will create something awesome.
So stay tuned folks, things could get interesting :)
In honor Thanksgiving, many of my facebook friends have decided to post daily what they are most thankful for. And I decided to follow suit. I think that it is important to constantly remind oneself about what is really important, what you really value. So for every post this month I will end with one thing that I am thankful for.
I am thankful for Barack Obama, because he is awesome.
